Terms of Service

Terms governing your use of the Applio free AI voice generator.

Last updated: 2026-04-22

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Applio (applioai.org). By accessing or using Applio, you agree to these Terms.

Independence notice. Applio (applioai.org) is an independent, free AI voice generator. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to applio.org, IAHispano, or the Applio open-source voice conversion project. The voice engine embedded on this site is a separate open-source project hosted on Hugging Face Spaces, not a product of the IAHispano team.

1. Service description

Applio provides a free, browser-based front-end to an embedded open-source AI voice engine. You can generate AI voice outputs — including text-to-speech, song covers, and voice conversion — without creating an account.

Applio is provided "as is" and is free for personal use. No subscription, no payment, no credit system.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Applio, or any AI voice output generated through it, to:

  • Impersonate real people, public figures, or specific individuals with intent to deceive, defraud, harass, or defame.
  • Generate content that violates applicable laws (including, without limitation, defamation, harassment, fraud, or identity theft).
  • Create non-consensual sexual content, content depicting real people without consent, or content harmful to minors.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security of Applio or the underlying voice engine.

In addition, the underlying open-source voice engine's terms of use apply to outputs you generate. In particular:

  • You may not sell voice models used or trained with the engine.
  • You may not sell generated voice clips on their own.
  • You may not use the engine for unauthorized impersonation, identity fraud, or other malicious purposes.

Before using generated voices commercially, review the underlying engine's terms at its Hugging Face Space and confirm your intended use is allowed.

3. Intellectual property

  • The Applio site, layout, written copy, and branding are owned by the operator of applioai.org.
  • Voice models, the generator implementation, and source audio you submit remain the property of their respective owners; see the underlying engine's license.
  • You retain whatever rights you had in material you upload (text, audio), subject to third-party rights in source material (e.g. copyrighted songs).

4. User-supplied content

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents for any material you submit. Applio does not monitor, approve, or endorse user submissions. Do not upload material that infringes others' copyrights, rights of publicity, or privacy rights.

5. Third-party services

The voice generation is powered by an open-source AI voice engine hosted on Hugging Face Spaces. Applio has no control over the availability, uptime, or behavior of that third-party service. The Space may change, pause, or be removed at any time by its author or the hosting platform.

6. No warranty

Applio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability of the generator.
  • Accuracy, fidelity, or suitability of generated voices for any particular purpose.
  • That generated voices are free of third-party claims (especially when based on source material you did not create).

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Applio nor its operators will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, including loss of data, loss of profits, reputation damage, or any claims arising from content you generate.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Applio after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing rules

These Terms are interpreted under general principles of contract law applicable to an online free service. If a particular clause is held invalid, the remaining clauses remain in effect.
